Cleaning the bathroom step by step

2. Step 2: Clean the shower or bathtub. Now that the sink is clean, let’s tackle the shower enclosure or bathtub. First, remove loose items such as shampoo bottles. Use a separate, clean microfiber cloth to dry the glass panel and chrome parts once more.
3. Step 3: Tackle the toilet. The toilet may not be everyone’s favorite, but with a structured approach, it’s done in no time. Apply toilet gel or cleaner to the bowl and under the rim. Let it sit while you clean the outside. Spray the toilet seat (top and bottom), the rim, the flush button, and the outside of the bowl with a disinfectant spray or all-purpose cleaner. Take a cloth (preferably a different color from the one used for the rest of the bathroom, to prevent cross-contamination) and clean the flush button first, then the lid, the seat (both sides), and finally the rim and outside of the bowl. Work from the cleanest to the least clean surface. If necessary, use paper towels for the really dirty areas and throw them away. Then take the toilet brush and scrub the inside of the bowl thoroughly, where the toilet gel has now had time to work. Don’t forget under the rim. Flush, keeping the brush in the bowl so it is rinsed at the same time. Tip: to keep the toilet brush clean and odor-free, you can put some all-purpose cleaner or a splash of Fabulosa disinfectant in the brush holder. 4. Step 4: Wipe down furniture and surfaces. Think bathroom cabinets, shelves, windowsills, radiators, and light switches. Use a slightly damp microfiber cloth with a little spray (all-purpose cleaner or a Fabulosa spray) to wipe away dust, hair, and splashes. Work systematically around the room: move from top to bottom and from clean to dirty. Do you have a cabinet with mirrored doors, for example? 6. Step 6: Mop the floor last. Finally, let’s tackle the floor. Because we’ve already cleaned all the higher surfaces, any dust and dirt may now be on the floor—exactly why you should always do the floor last. First sweep or vacuum up the loose dirt (hair, dust, and so on). Then fill a bucket with warm water and a splash of all-purpose cleaner or floor cleaner. You could use The Pink Stuff floor cleaner for this, if you have it, or otherwise a capful of your favorite all-purpose cleaner. Mop the floor thoroughly, starting in the farthest corner and working toward the door so you can leave the bathroom walking backward without stepping on your clean floor.
